New Letters on the Air is the half-hour weekly radio companion to New Letters magazine, and public radio's longest-running literary program.  Available to public radio stations throughout the United States, the program features engaging interviews and readings by some of the country's most prominent poets, fiction writers, and essayists, as well as important up-and-coming writers.  Broadcasting since 1977, most of our archived programs can be ordered by visiting the New Letters on the Air page in this site.  See also a schedule of upcoming broadcasts
