In this public reading at Kansas City’s Writers Place, poet Van K. Brock shares poems from his 2005 collection of new and selected poems called Lightered, as well as poems about the Holocaust that are included in his new book, Unspeakable Strangers: Descents into the Dark Self, Ascent into Light.  Brock is a professor emeritus of Florida State University, where he founded the creative writing program.
