WHAT IS IN THE ARCHIVES |
- New Letters magazine
archives: Use keywords to search the complete contents of New Letters issues going back
to 1971, the year the magazine was renamed New Letters,
and farther back to its predecessor, The University Review,
published from 1934 to 1970.
- New Letters on the Air audio archives:
Use single word only to search 800 interviews and
audio recordings of important poets, fiction writers,
and essayists from 1977 to the present.
Search our index by the

| By using the search functions, you can locate
a particular author, artist, poem, story, interview, book
review, or essay that the magazine has

HOW TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION |
TIP
To begin a search, input a name, letter, or keyword in
the search box to the left. Then, select which archive you
would like to search: |

—The magazine. If you are looking for a
writer or piece of writing from New Letters, choose
New Letters from the drop menu. You can search by author
name, first or last, title, genre, keyword, or volume
number. For example, to find all
authors who have a last name beginning with "a,"
simply enter an "a" in the search box. Or you could
enter a keyword like "love" in the search box to find all
entries containing the word "love" in the title. |

—The audio archives. If you are looking for a writer
or category of writers from New Letters on the Air, type
in a single word only: a last name, name of a prize,
ethnicity, or other identifier. |
